Project Coordinator

Our client is a market leader in the industrial manufacturing industry and is looking for a Project Coordinator in Brantford, ON.  This position is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering customer orders and custom control projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications.  To achieve these important goals, the Project Coordinator will define project requirements and scope, work with internal departments to schedule resources, and supervise the efforts of team members.  Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations between customers and senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each projects lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of all customer orders and custom engineered projects
  • Manage all project & order activities throughout lifecycle, including the coordination of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success
  • Process & acknowledge customer orders in Syteline ERP system along with preparation of accompanying documentation and information for scheduling with Engineering
  • Plan all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or methods
  • Track project progress and report to customers via a formal communications plan
  • Conduct and manage regularly scheduled production meetings with all departments
  • Conduct internal & external meetings in order to solicit feedback, input, and expectations; incorporate these into project plans
  • Establish, implement, and follow a formal change management program
  • Adhere to established methodologies for project management
  • Conduct project postmortems and margin reviews in order to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings
  • Responsible for cooperating with all other company personnel and to assist them, whenever possible, to help them to succeed, as well as to ensure the company’s success and perform other duties as directed
  • Assist with processing & entry of new opportunities and acknowledgment communications with customers
  • Assist with processing service orders in Syteline ERP system along with accompanying documentation and information for Service Technicians as required
  • Strong relationship builder that can collaborate with all levels of management

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

  • Diploma in Project Management preferred or relevant field
  • A minimum 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management
  • Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with electrical manufacturer or distribution an asset
  • Experience in the water & waste-water industry an asset
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong attention to details
  • Must have a valid driver's license
